桐朋学園大学音楽学部演奏学科ピアノ専攻卒業。2007年6月オーストリア国立モーツァルテウム音楽大学大学院修士課程ピアノ演奏科修了、「マギスター・デア・キュンステ」の称号を得る。バッハに関する修士論文は最高の評価を獲得。また2004年から2006年までウィーン国立音楽大学にてチェンバロをインゴマー・ライナー氏に師事。
2005年ザルツブルク・スタインウェイ・ホールにてソロリサイタルを開催。同年イタリア、トリエステにおけるステファノ・マリッツァ国際ピアノコンクール第2位入賞。入賞者演奏会の模様はイタリアにてテレビ放映される。2006年のモーツァルト・イヤーにはザルツブルガー・ゾリステンとモーツァルトのピアノ協奏曲第12番K.414を共演。同年ザルツブルクのミラベル宮殿マルモア・ザールにてイェルク・デームス氏と共演する。フロレンターノ・ロッソマンディ国際ピアノコンクール入賞。
ピアノを山田富士子、田崎悦子、三谷 温、オリヴァー・カーン、イムレ・ローマン、パウル・バドゥーラ＝スコダの各氏に師事。またイェルク・デームス、カール・ハインツ・ケマリンク、エドワード・アウアー各氏のマスターコースを受講。2005年には、セルジオ・ペルティカローリ氏の国際夏期音楽講習会（ザルツブルク）でのマスターコースに、奨学生として参加。歌曲伴奏法をワルター・モーア氏に、一台四手をイムレ・ローマン、アヴォ・クユムジャン各氏に師事。
2007年10月に帰国。2008年3月銀座王子ホールでのピアノ・リサイタルを皮切りに、ソロ・室内楽・歌曲伴奏の分野で活動。王子ホールでのリサイタルは、「ムジカノーヴァ」、「音楽現代」にて好評を得る。新たな試みとして、映像とトークを交えてのレクチャーコンサートを行い、評判を呼んでいる。 これまでにイタリア、ドイツ、オーストリア、ハンガリー、クロアチアにおいて演奏会を行う。
Biography
The pianist, Mai Takahashi, was born in Tokyo, Japan, where she graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music. In 2003, she continued her studies at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria with Prof. Klaus Kaufmann and Prof. Imre Rohmann. She also studied cembalo from2004 to 2006at the Universität für Musik und ｄarstellende Kunst in Wien with Prof. Ingomar Rainer.
Having completed her postgraduate studies at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in 2007, Mai proceeded to embark upon a master’s degree course in Keyboard Instruments/Piano at the same institution.
She took master courses with Prof. Jörg Demus, Prof. Karl Heinz Kämmerling, and Prof. Walter Moore. In 2005 she was invited as a scholar on the master’s course, to the International Summer Academy in Salzburg, studying with Prof. Sergio Perticaroli.
Having taken piano lessons with Prof. Oliver Kern and Prof. Paul Badura-Skoda, Mai has been a prizewinner at several international competitions. In 2006, Mai played Mozart’s concerto K.414 with the Salzburger Solisten under the direction of Luz Leskowitz in Tokyo. She has given performances at various concerts; including piano solos; chamber music, and vocal music, in Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Croatia and Japan.

Die Pianistin Mai Takahashi wurde in Tokyo geboren. Von 1999 bis 2003 studierte sie an der Toho-Gakuen-Hochschule für Musik in Tokyo bei Prof. Fujiko Yamada und Prof. Etzko Tazaki. Nach dem Abschluss der Toho-Gakuen-Hochschule für Musik in Tokyo studierte sie von 2003 bis 2007 an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg bei Prof. Klaus Kaufmann und Prof. Imre Rohmann. Von 2004 bis 2006 studierte sie Cembalo an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien bei Prof. Ingomar Rainer.
2007 absolvierte sie das Magisterstudium Tasteninstrumente/Klavier an der Universität Mozarteum Salzburg und machte den “Magistra der Künste”.
Sie besuchte Meisterkurse u.a. bei Prof. Jörg Demus, Prof. Karl Heinz Kämmerling und Prof. Walter Moore. 2005 wurde sie als Stipendiatin zum Meisterkurs mit Prof. Sergio Perticaroli zu der Internationalen Sommerakademie in Salzburg eingeladen.
Bei Oliver Kern und Paul Badura-Skoda nahm sie außerdem Klavierunterrricht. Sie ist Preisträgerin einiger internationalen Klavierwettbewerbe. 2006 führte sie Mozarts Klavierkonzert K.414 mit den Salzburger Solisten (unter der Leitung von Luz Leskowitz) in Tokyo auf. Sie gab zahlreiche Solo- und Kammermusikkonzerte sowie Liedbegleitungen in Italien, Deutschland, Österreich, Ungarn, Kroatien und Japan.
